Our first activity included donating books written by Nobel Laureate Gabriela Mistral to the schools we mentor. The books that are written in Spanish and translated into Swahili are meant to introduce the students to poetry and Spanish while improving their Swahili. We managed to donate 400 books to the 8 schools totalling 6000 students all together, that we mentor across the city. As we enter into the second school term, we shall be having mentorship programs in the 8 schools.
